Mission Statement:

Cornerstone Kids Preschool and Kindergarten is an outreach ministry of Cornerstone United Methodist Church, with the mission to nurture and develop each child’s relationship with God.

We believe each child is a gift from God, and we are committed to the emotional, physical, mental, social, and spiritual development of each child gifted to our program,

Our teachers and staff create a firm foundation in both academic and Christian teaching through compassion, and a play-based cooperative learning environment that emphasizes love, respect, sharing, and joy.

With Christ as our cornerstone, we strive to foster an early love for learning and enthusiasm for exploring the world around us. We lead by example with our love for God, Christ, biblical teachings, and our community.

Julie Henry is the Director of Cornerstone Kids Preschool and Kindergarten, with over 15 years of experience in early childhood education, primarily in faith-based settings.  She brings warmth, structure, and a deep love for children into every interaction, believing each child is a unique creation of God.  A married mother of five, Julie understands the heart of a parent and values strong, open communication with families.  She is trained in the Complete Reading Series and Handwriting Without Tears and is committed to nurturing both academic growth and spiritual development.  Julie is also active in her church, where her faith continues to shape her calling to lead with compassion, grace, and purpose.
